This section covers the following topics:
To verify the zip file format, perform the following tasks:
Start Configuration Manager from the Administration page of Stellent Content Server.
Open the File Formats tab.
In the File Formats box, make sure the list contains an entry where the format 'application/zip' has the conversion 'ZipFile'. If this is not the case, set up the file format.
In the File Extensions box, make sure the list contains an entry where the extension 'zip' is mapped to format 'application/zip'. If this is not the case, map the file extension.
To set up the zip file extension, perform the following tasks:
In Configuration Manager, open the File Formats tab.
In the File Formats section, click Add.
The Add New File Formats screen is displayed.
In the Format field, enter 'application/zip'
as the MIME type.
From the Conversion drop-down
list, choose the conversion method 'ZipFile'.
In the Description field, enter
a meaningful description.
Click OK to save the settings and return to the File Formats tab.
To associate zip files with the file format 'application/zip' (and thus with the conversion method 'ZipFile'), perform the following tasks:
In Configuration Manager, open the File Formats tab.
In the File Extensions section, click Add.
The Add File Extensions screen is displayed.
In the Extension field, enter 'zip'.
From the Map to Format drop-down
list, choose the file format 'application/zip'. This assigns all files
with the extension 'zip' to the conversion method 'ZipFile'.
Click OK to save the settings and return to the File Formats tab.
PDF Converter can only process Microsoft Office files with linked objects if you check them into Stellent Content Server correctly. The "main" Office file and all linked files need to be compressed into a single zip file, which you then check in. You can create the zip file in either of two ways:
You can use the multiple-file upload feature of Stellent Content Server (if enabled).
You can prepare a zip file beforehand and check this zip file into Stellent Content Server. You can use any compression utility that creates standard zip files, such as WinZip, PKZIP, or ZipMagic.
|
Important: If you chose not to use the file name 'main' in the zip file, make sure you assign a content ID to the zip file that exactly matches the name of the main Office file in the zip file (without the file extension). Thus, if the main Office file in the zip file is called 'report2002.doc', the content ID of the zip file must be 'report2002'. |
